How to Create a Good Password (that is also easy to remember)

Most of the time when something such as an email account, or a content management system (cms) is compromised, it is due to a weak password. This is because hackers will typically use an extensive list of dictionary words to try and login, that includes the most common and popular passwords. Many people do not like to use complex passwords, because they are difficult to remember.  

In this tutorial we will show you how to create a good strong password, that is also memorable.

Never use passwords with dictionary words, common names, or keyboard patterns, such as:
password, charlie, qwerty, 123456, !@#$%^, summer, 555555

Creating a Good Password:

1. First take a phrase that is easy to remember, for example: myshirtisblue
2. Now take the letters, and switch them out with different characters, such as a '1' for an 'I', a '0' for an 'O', or a '$' for an 'S'. It is important to include as many numbers and special characters as possible, the more you add the longer it will take to crack the password.
   
   Here is my updated password:
   my$h1rt1s8lue
   
   As you see it is still recognizable and easy to remember, but much more secure.
