In Wordpress, if you are changing your domain name, or just want to remove the "www" before it, this can be accomplished in several ways. In this guide we will go over the most common ways to change your Wordpress domain name, or URL.

Changing URL in the Dashboard:

  1. Login to your Wordpress Dashboard.
  2. Roll your mouse over Settings, and click General.

  3. Update your WordPress Address (URL), and Site Address (URL) as needed. Below is a brief description of what to enter:
    Field Description
    WordPress Address (URL) Enter the location of your Wordpress installation here. (This is also known as the "Home" setting)
    Site Address (URL) Enter the address people will put in their browser to navigate to your site here. (This is also known as the "Site URL" setting)

  4. Click the Save Changes button to record your changes.
