My website has become very slow. This happens especially when it is 8-10 AM in the United States. It has become impossible for my students to access the site and to work. I cannot even post anything there. Sometimes I have to wait for several minutes before the page loads. What's going on? It didn't use to be like that before. I think it is something to do with your servers. I appreciate any help you can give me! Thanks! Michel (m2lab.org)

Hello Mmeclimate,

Apologies for the slow site. Just to summarize the possible cause, you can view Server loads for more information. We have submitted this issue to our systems team for investigation. I will submit a support ticket on your behalf and you should see an update on this issue as they find information. Otherwise, if I get an update I will also post an update to this answer.

Apologies again for the server issues, I'm sure that we'll find the issue soon and resolve it in order to stop the periodic performance issues.

Regards,
Arnel C.

Hello Arnel, I really appreciate your help. The website is still running slow during different parts of the day. For instance, it is slow right now. Some of my students have complained about this and I mentioned to them that you are working on this case. As I mentioned before, I strongly believe this has something to do with your servers, since my website is not that slow in other parts of the day. I'm looking forward to hearing from you again soon! Hello Mmeclimate,

Sorry to hear that the website is running slow. One thing that can help us identify the problem is if you submit a ping/traceroute diagnostic report. This would help to provide information on the issue from your location. It is recommended that you run this diagnostic DURING a slowdown event. Copy the results of the test in a response to the last support ticket response instead of opening a new ticket.

Apologies again for the apparent performance issues. Please let us know if you have any further questions or comments.

Regards,
Arnel C.

Hello mmeclimate,

This is our public forum, not a private ticket, here is a link to our guide on "How to submit a support ticket."

At this time your server is not experiencing any issues. Sites such as Pingdom Tools, or GTMetrix provide detailed information regarding what is loading and how long it takes.

I also looked at your traceroute, and there is some latency that seems to be caused by the route you are taking to our servers. The distance between you and your web server impact how fast your connection speed is. For example, users 1 mile away from the server will generally have faster connection speeds than users 5000 miles away.

If you have any further questions, feel free to post them below.
Thank you,

Hello mmeclimate,

Also, it may be beneficial to be moved to an East Coast server, since it seems closer to your location and we do not have any servers in Norway.

Web Hosting Hub has servers located in both the East and West coast of the United States. If a majority of your site visitors will be coming from Norway, then they will probably have faster connection speeds if we move your website to our datacenter on the East coast.

You can email a request to be moved, along with an explanation to: support@webhostinghub.com, be sure to include either your current Amp password, or the last 4 digits of the current credit card that we have on file.

This will create a ticket, and you will be sent an email upon resolution.

If you have any further questions, feel free to post them below.
Thank you,

-John-Paul
