Dear customer support,

I tried to redirect referenceyou.nl and referenceyou.eu to referenceyou.org. I'm not able to get referenceyou.org with a redirect. Instead I get the websites hostname with my ip adress. How can i solve this problem?

Many thanks in advance,

Kind regards,

Chris

Hello Chris,

Thank you for your question. I first tested referenceyou.nl, and it is redirecting me to referenceyou.org successfully. If it is not working for you, I recommend clearing your browser cache. I also performed a whois lookup, and noticed the nameservers are not pointed to us. This means the redirect is setup elsewhere, not in your cPanel, which is fine.

When I tested the domain referenceyou.eu it is getting our default landing page. A whois lookup helped me determine it is pointed to our nameservers.

Typically when you get a default server page, it is because it is pointed to our nameservers, but not added to the cPanel yet. You can add it as an Addon domain, or Parked domain the only difference is the address that displays in the address bar.

For example, if you Park referenceyou.eu, it will show the website for the primary domain (referenceyou.org), but the address that will show in the Address bar will be:
referenceyou.eu

If you Addon the domain referenceyou.eu, then setup a redirect to referenceyou.org, the address bar will show the URL:
referenceyou.org

If you have any further questions, feel free to post them below.
Thank you,

-John-Paul
