Did you want to keep the current domain? Or, are you trying to basically switch the domain?

Hello Zapatacrc,

You can register a new domain through the Account Management Panel (AMP) if want to register using our domain registrar. This option is available if you have a hosting account with Web Hosting Hub. If you want to simply register a new domain name and you do not have a hosting account, you can go to the home page for Web Hosting Hub and use the domain search to determine if the domain is available to register.

After you have registered a domain, then you can request a primary domain change and then everything in your old domain will point to the new domain.

If however, your domain isn't the main domain and you want to replace the domain for another, then you may simply have to add the new domain name as an add-on domain and then move all of the files for your existing website into the folder of the new domain that you purchase.

The most economical way is simply to register the new domain and then use the domain for your old site. However, bear in mind that you may have to change your configuration files and possibly database files if you have elements in your website that require it.

I hope this helps to answer your question? If you need any further assistance, please let us know.

Regards,
Arnel C.

Hi zapatacrc,

If you want a new domain name that points to everything you already have, it sounds like you want to register and setup a parked domain name.

Is a parked domain right for you?
First, take a look at this article and confirm that a parked domain is what you're asking for.

Registering and setting up a new domain
Then, register the domain name and configure it as a parked domain.

What's Economical
Based upon your initial question, you will only need to register a new domain name - so there are no other costs involved besides registering the domain.

Good luck! Let us know if you need any additional help.
