Is it possible to use No-IP for the DNS hostname so I don't have to keep changing my Remote Access every time my IP changes?

Note: My ISP only provides dynamic IP addresses nothing static of the sort.

Hi Bobbert,

For security reasons, only confirmed IP addresses or domains are able to connect to MySQL databases directly. Those IPs or domains are confirmed by adding them in the Remote MySQL area of cPanel. I know it can be frustrating to have to change that each time your IP changes, but for security reasons, the IP (or a domain name) needs to be entered into cPanel as an allowed access host.

Please let us know if you have any additional questions or need further assistance.

Regards,

Christi N.
