Hello,
I registered a domain with Web Hosting Hub.
Now I want to create a CNAME record so that the domain points to a site I have elsewhere.
I cannot find the cPanel to do this. I can log into the AMP panel but the only thing I cab do is set the DNS servers.

My questions: do I need hosting to point my domain elsewhere?
Or, is there another way?

Thanks

Hello BKE5630,

You will not be able to set DNS settings for a domain that is not attached to a hosting account. So, as long as the domain that you registered is connected to your hosting account (meaning that you registered using that same account), then you can login into THAT domain's cpanel to make the DNS change. This is done under the DOMAINS section using the Advanced DNS zone editor. You will first need to add the domain as an ADD-ON domain. Then you can access its DNS settings with the editor.

Add an Add-on Domain

The only way to have separate Cpanels per domain name is to have a hosting account per domain name.

If you have any further questions, please contact technical support or leave a comment at the bottom of the page.

Regards,

Arnel C.
