I was using cPanel to set up my site until about 10:30 mountain time, then it quit working. I was still able to use the file manager but couldn't get back to cPanel.

Also, I noticed a few cgi files got created between my first login and subsequent, including echocgi, entropybanner.cgi... is this normal?

Thank you,
Jon

Hello Jon,

I'm sorry you had trouble connecting to the server. It's possible you experienced an interruption on your connection to the server. The files you mentioned (in the cgi-bin) are created automatically by cPanel if you were working with either the Counter or CGI Email scrips in the CGI Center of cPanel. If you do not wish to use those, feel free delete them from the cgi-bin.

Please let us know if you have any additional questions or need further assistance.

Regards,

Christi N.
