Hello!

I had a subdomain for bug.dzveloper.com that redirects to https://github.com/wdziemia/peakstocks/issues. I updated the redirect to https://github.com/dzveloper/peakstocks/issues but the subdomain still redirects to the previous URL.

I understand that the subdomain redirect takes time to kick in but i think there is a bug in cpanel that does not allow for updating a redirect. Creating a new subdomain with redirect is no problem, updating the redirect seems to be causing an issue.

Is there anyway to remedy this? (delete the subdomain and wait until i get a 404 error and then recreate the subdomain?).

Thank you for your question wdziemia!

Sorry for the trouble with the redirect. Redirects don't take time to work they should go through automatically. I went to the bug.dzveloper.com and it did redirect to https://github.com/dzveloper/peakstocks/issues?state=open.

You may need to clear you browser cache. Browsers can cache old redirects. Please see the following link on this.

Clearing Your Browser Cache

cPanel rewrites the code to the .htaccess file in your cPanel public_html directory. You can remove the code manually in that file and then set it up again if you feel that necessary. I was able to get the redirect to work on me end though.

Best regards,
James R
