The information about my website's traffic is seriously behind for AwStats. Today it is seven days behind as it was updated yesterday for two days. Two of the last few people I chatted with in customer service told me to set an account with Google Analytics, which I did a couple or three weeks ago. All categories there register zero up to yesterday. So I still don't get good data.

A support person on the Web Hosting Hub site told me that the reason for the delayed update of my account was due to increased web traffic. ( I am on a shared server. ) Because of this, my information was put on the backburner. I was told recently that my information would be updated every 24-48 hours. For about the past ten days the backlog has increased to where it is today.

What can be done to make sure I get timely and all information about my website?

Hello Janice H.,

Unfortunately, the more accurate answer was the first support person who said that the reason for the delayed update may have been due to increased web traffic. Certain processes on the server have precedence to analytical applications such as AWSTATS. And because AWSTATS is run not only for your website, but also for every website on the server, it tends to be a resource issue. Resource management on the server gives precedence to critical applications, which is why there is sometimes a delay in the built-in statistics programs. Many people use Google Analytics, but I'm not sure why you're having problems with it. You may need to double check with Google to make sure you have installed it correctly. Other than that, you may need to search for a different statistical solution.
