Good Evening,

I was looking through the community forum and noticed a couple of people stating about their sites being hacked September of last year. The replies from your staff detailed that the problem was solved. Yet, today as I was checking my visitors log on my cPanel I noticed a "/favicon.ico" file linked to a IP address. Can you remove or check my site for any foul play?

Thank you so much

Hello dread007,

Thank you for your question regarding your visitors log. We can certainly understand your concerns. Please note, the IP addresses shown in the visitors log are the IP addresses of the people who visit your site. While researching this for you, I noticed a reference to that file in your cPanel error log. It appears one or more of your site files is making a request for the favicon.ico file but since the file is not uploaded, it's recording that error in your error log. You will either want to upload your favicon.ico file or remove the reference to it from your site files.

Please let us know if you have any questions or need any additional assistance.

Regards,

Christi N.
