I was, at one time, able to connect to my database using workbench. Now I get an "Unable to connect" error. Is there a "how to" document somewhere that I can use? I am using the domain name as the HostName. In my case harmonyespresso.com. I am also using port 3306. Thanks in advance for pointing me in the right direction.

Hello,

Thanks for the question! The 2 main reason that many clients connecting to MySQL are disconnected are password/user issues or IP address changes. Make sure that whatever user credentials you're using are still current and apply to the database you're trying to access. Additionally, as per our How to Setup a Remote MySQL Connection tutorial, you may need to double check your IP address and make sure it has not change (your ISP may change it from time-to-time). You can also find your public IP address by simply using an internet browser, the Google search page, and typing in "What is my IP address?" That IP address should match the IP address you added to the Remote MySQL section of the cPanel.

I hope this helps to answer your question, please let us know if you require any further assistance.

Kindest regards,
Arnel C.
