Hi,

I recently noticed that all my mysql databases are accessible from the outside world. I can navigate to **********.com:3306 or *************.com:3306 and see the version of the db running and some other feedback. I checked that in my Remote Mysql setting there is only one IP address: ***.**.**.***, which is the only address that should have access to my databases. Could you please look into this and make sure that only the addresses configured in Remote Mysql setting are the ones accessing my databases?

Thank you, Alex.

Hello Alex,

Thank you for your question regarding restricting outside access to databases. When I try the links you provided, I am seeing the following message:
"This page isn’t working
****** sent an invalid response.
ERR_INVALID_HTTP_RESPONSE"

The only way to connect to and manipulate a database is with a valid username that has been granted privileges. You must also have an IP address that is added to the firewall.

Since this is a public forum, I marked out your domain name and IP address for security purposes.

Thank you,
John-Paul
