Hi everyone,

I'm trying to get a portfolio site together, and I'm looking at using Indexhibit as a CMS. Anyone else using indexhibit?

At a point in the installation process, it asks for some information:

-Database Server
-Database Name
-Database Username
-Database Password

I have already set up a MySQL database in the Contol Panel, and I've assigned it a name, username, and password. What I do not know is the "Database Server" information. I tried putting my web hosting hub server address (ex whub21.webhostinghub.com) but it doesn't work. I have also tried localhost, but to no avail.

What information belongs in this "Database Server" field? Any suggestions? Am I doing anything wrong? Could it be something else?

Thanks in advance

Hi brentmccormick,

Thanks for posting your question. I'm more than happy to assist you. While I've never used that specific content management system, I can certainly help you with configuring your database connection. The database server should be set to "localhost".

However, when I look at your account, the database ending with "_indexhibit" does not have a user assigned to it. If you are using this database, you'll need to assign a user to it, and make sure the user has "all privileges"

Here's an article on how to configure the database you may find helpful:

If you need further assistance please feel free to contact us.

Thanks!
