I'm sure this is easy and tried to find it myself but cant get it.

My domain is familychristiancenter.net. I installed wordpress to a subfolder called /familychristiancenter

I now have to use URL:
http://familychristiancenter.net/familychristiancenter/

I would like to redirect all domain traffic directly to subfolder. How can I do this? I tried to do a redirect in Cpanel and got the error:

Redirecting to http://familychristiancenter.net/familychristiancenter/ will cause a redirection loop.

Does this have to be done at DNS level?

Hello Mbell,

You can certainly have your domain name's root changed to the /familychristiancenter/ subfolder if you like. To do so, you would need to contact our support department (open 24/7) with that request. Be sure to validate your account with either the last 4 digits of the credit card on file, or the current Account Management Panel (AMP) password. Simply ask for a 'document root change' and name the folder you want to point it to.

Overall, however, I would simply recommend re-installing the wordpress into the root (public_html) folder if you intend on using the wordpress as your site. It is simply easier for the server, you, and future support issues. To ensure you install it into the root folder, simply leave the field labeled "Install in root directory" blank when filling out the install form in Fantastico.

Best Regards,
Scott M
