Can I renew my domain through you, but point to a different hosting site?

My renewal came up, and the card you had on file didn't work (it had been stolen and canceled). I am kind of glad it didn't work, as I had forgotten the renewal was coming up.

Unfortunately, I can not afford the new fee. This is a part-time personal blog, so I have moved it to the wordpress.com free host. Not as many features, but I found I wasn't using them anyway.

I have already moved the blog and redirected the domain name through C-panel, but I still need to renew the domain.

Thank you for your question steelshooter!

You can have the domain registered and renewed through us and point to another nameserver no problem. You can edit the nameservers in the Account Management Panel. Please see the following link on this.

Changing your Domain Nameservers in AMP

To cancel the hosting and have the domain only renew, please contact billing@webhostinghub.com with this request and they can process this ASAP. You will need to verify with the last 4 of the credit card number or the current AMP password in the email to expedite the process.

Keep in mind your nameservers will need to point to the Wordpress site as the cpanel will not work after the hosting is stopped. Domains that are not hosted with us can only be pointed by the nameservers.

Best regards!
