Hello,
A few years back I signed up and created foreachmoose.com

Today I purchased a new domain, sekvenz.com, via AMP, and would now like to point my new domain to a subfolder (or and addon domain would work as well) under my main domain.

Basically I would like sekvenz.com to point to foreachmoose.com/sekvenz, but this redirect should be transparent to the user.

Could you provide me some guidance?
Thanks, Tobbe

Hello Tobbe,

If you are trying to host a separate website on your account (under foreachmoose.com), then you would need to setup an ADD-ON domain. The add-on domain is identified as a SEPARATELY hosted website when people access it. So, in other words, it's not a "redirect" - it's actually a separate website. Physically, the files are under the primary domain - so they are in essence a subdomain. However, the web server recognizes that you have created an ADD-ON domain, and therefore the domain name would be recognized if typed separately. Remember that your domain name should be pointed to our name servers in order for this to work. I'll add a link to the bottom of this article to give your more details should you need it. Note that if the domain was just created or if you just changed the name servers to point to our hosting services, then you do need to allow for up to 24 hours of propagation time - this allows the domain name to be recognized on the internet.

How to add an Add-on Domain using your Cpanel

If you need more info on changing name servers, check this link out: What are my name servers and how do I change them?
