I'm trying to register my domain (ubcfilmsociety.com) with another service, but it tells me its registered here and I can't unregister it.

That link indicates that your domain is registered with GKG.NET, INC. That link also indicates that the domain is pointed to Web Hosting Hub name servers for hosting your domain here.

If you'd like to point the domain to another set of name servers (to host the domain with another service) you can simply <a href="http://www.webhostinghub.com/help/learn/domain-names/dns-nameserver" target="_blank">change your domain's name servers</a>, without having to unlock the domain. Please note, you will need to contact your current registrar to make this change.

Since the domain is not registered with Web Hosting Hub, you'll need to use your current registrar's interface/instructions to unlock your domain. I hope this helps!
