I just transferred a domain from a separate registrar. The website that was built for this domain has an IP address that I need to set my A record to. I have added the domain as an Add On Domain and created an A record with that IP address. After about 6 hours this has still not populated correctly. Is there a specific name that I should call my A record, should I take other steps to fix this, or should I just be more patient?

Hello FlowPeddler,

I'm sorry you're having trouble setting up an A record for your Addon domain. When you create an Addon domain in your cPanel, the A record is automatically created. Unfortunately, the Simple DNS Zone Editor in cPanel does not have access to that A record.

We will be happy to make this change for you. Please send an email to support@webhostinghub.com with the domain name and the IP address the domain should be pointed to. Be sure to include account verification with either the AMP password or the last 4 digits of the credit card on file.

Please let us know if you have any additional questions or need additional assistance.

Regards,

Christi N.
