Hi, recently I canceled my hosting service here, but kept my domain name registered. I would like for it to point to my tumblr blog, however because I only have a domain name registered, I do not have access to cpanel. Tumblr is asking me to change CNAME record to "domains.tumblr.com" and A-record to 66.6.44.4, which I believe I don't have access to do. From the AMP I can only change the nameservers. If I enter domains.tumblr.com there, will it work? Or am I not going to be able to point the domain to tumblr?

Thank you!

Hello,

Thanks for submitting a question about pointing a domain to Tumblr. You will need to check and see if Tumblr has Nameservers (though I don't think they do). If they have Nameservers, you can point your domain there using the Nameserver tool in AMP. Otherwise, you will need DNS services (which are available in cPanel), where you can create CNAMES and A Records and others kinds of DNS records. On our platform, the DNS editor is only available in cPanel. This means you will need to have your domain transferred to a registrar that has DNS services or re-enable your hosting plan to get access to the cPanel.

Best,
Christopher M.
