If I would like to move to a new domain housing after my one year contract with your service expires, or if I am unhappy with your service, what becomes of my free domain name? I would most certainly like take it along with me. Is there a release fee for my domain name, or is it considered paid for?

Hello,

Thanks for the question. The new domain is still a domain registered with Melbourne IT. If you leave our hosting service, the domain can be transferred to another domain registrar service, or your can leave it with us and change the name servers to point to your new host (for more info see Domain transfer versus changing name servers). Your hosting service with us would change to a domain name only service. The domain is free for the first year of hosting.

I hope this helps to answer your question, please let us know if you require any further assistance.

Regards,
Arnel C.
