Trying to add a newly purchased web address to Add-on Domains.

When I take the steps to 'Create an Add-on Domain everything enters just fine, but when I click 'Add Domain' I get the message: "A DNS entry for the domain “new-domain.current-domain.com” already exists. (names changes as per Q&A instructions.) My other three sites are listed individually on this page, so I must have done something wrong in registration this time perhaps. Anyone know how to resolve this please? John.

Hello,

Thank you for your question on your domain name. When you add an addon domain to the cPanel, it also creates a subdomain of “new-domain.current-domain.com” as well. If you have previously created a subdomain of that name you will need to remove it before you add the addon domain to the cPanel.

Kindest Regards,
Scott M
