I just transferred my domain (harrygoldguitars.com) from another hosting site and can't seem to get dreamweaver to connect to my site via ftp.

Dreamweaver pops up with a Password or username error when i test the remote connection.

I've checked my passwords and username and am apparently in need of some assistance.

Thanks guys

Hello harryg,

I noticed that your domain name is still pointing to the old hosts nameservers. If you are using the domain name as the host name in the dreamweaver, that will result in an error.

You will want to point the domain name to our name servers (ns1.webhostinghub.com and ns2.webhostinghub.com) for it to work.

This process takes approx 24 hours, so in the meantime you can simply use your account's IP address as the hostname.

Below is a link to instructions on how to find that particular IP address.
Finding your account's IP address

Be sure to use your cpanel username and password as the account name for FTP login as well. This should allow you to log in without issue.

Best Regards,
Scott M
