Email Client Setup

I decided to use squirrelmail. I downloaded the file(s) from their site, but the instructions say to install it on a PHP enabled webserver? What?? How? Does this mean uploading it to my website? -Maybe I've got the wrong type of client. I just want to be able to log on and check my email from any computer, just like I do with my Yahoo & Gmail accounts. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Hello,

The application you downloaded would need to be uploaded and installed on a php enabled web server as opposed to running off of your local machine.

But the good news is, our web servers already have Squirrelmail installed, so no setup is necessary! You can log in from any device with web access. Just add /webmail after your domain name and you will be taken to the email login screen. For instance, if your domain name is example.com you would visit example.com/webmail and then you would log in.

You will need to create an email account on your hosting account first, of course, but other than that you will be all set!

Kindest Regards,
Scott M
