Has anyone successful settings for using Eudora 7.1 to send email via the Hub server? I've tried a number of different settings (including copying those Thunderbird uses to send email, but whereas it works with Thunderbird, it doesn't with Eudora).
Thanks for any help!
Sorry to hear you are having issues with your Eudora email client. I have tested the Eudora client with normal SMTP settings and it was successful. Do you have any specific error message that is appearing at the bottom of the client in the information section? Are you able to use the exact same settings with ThunderBird successfully? Without seeing your settings, I would not be able to properly troubleshoot, but do check again to ensure your SMTP settings are correct.
Kindest Regards,

Hello Scott, Thanks for your reply (and I regret not checking in earlier).
In following the recommended "secure46.webhostinghub.com and SMTP Port: 465," I received an error message "Error reading from network. Cause Eudora got tired of waiting of waiting for the server 10100"
For Thunderbird, I used (and tried) port 995 along with the secure45. I've tried my email user name both before the @ and including everything after the @. I'd be happy to try anything you recommend. I've tried Pegasus and Opera, which also didn't respond for various settings. Thus far TB is the only one that can send and receive email. I should also say, I can receive email okay (with the plain mail. plus my domain.)
Thanks! --Chet
With the additional information you have provided I was able to locate your specific account and create a test email account. I was able to connect with Eudora using the secure46 server settings. Be sure to use the full email address (you@domain.com) as the username. Also, on the "Secure Sockets when Sending/Receiving" that needed to be set to "Never" for Eudora to connect properly as it does not use StartTLS. I tested all settings and this was the setting combination that worked.
That worked! I didn't expect it to, and was wonderfully happily surprised that it did. Hey! My wife thanks you too! (I'm the one who tested various email clients, so I suffered for her benefit.)
Three cheers for Eudora proceeding into the 21st century, thanks to your help!
