Hi, am working from home over 3G broadband and for some reason I can't get outlook calendar invites to send and one email with an attachment won't send either. Otherwise all is working. Error message is:

Connection to the server failed or was dropped.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

Jon

Hello Jon,

I'm sorry you're having trouble sending emails. We are seeing several "incomplete transaction" errors in the email logs. This could be due to either a connection issue between you and the server or a timeout set in your email client. You could try either increasing the server timeout in your email client or sending emails through webmail instead.

Since you mentioned Outlook, if you are using Outlook 2007, you can increase the server timeout by following the steps below:

  1. Open Outlook

  2. On the Tools menu, select Account Settings.

  3. Click to select your email account and then click Change.

  4. Click More Settings.

  5. Select the Advanced tab.

  6. Increase the server time-out (in small increments) to see if this resolves the issue.

Please let us know if you have any questions or need any further assistance.

Regards,

Christi N.
