You can also take the G Suite Backup before going further. I also did that by using the below blog.

Hello, Sorry to hear that you're having problems with the forwarder. However, when I check the email server, I'm seeing the emails being forwarded normally. So, there is no disruption in connection (at least from sending emails). I'm not seeing any errors on our end. What are the exact error messages that you're getting when you're trying to send/receive emails? Please let us know and we can investigate the issue further. Regards, Arnel C.
