We have switched our webhosting to webhosting hub for our site and have our own domain name hosted by another site and email by a third host site. We did the MX entrys but still can't get outlook to get email with our own domain name. Any ideas?

Hello mrborgs,

I'm sorry you're having trouble receiving email hosted by a third party. I used our online Domain Pointing Check to view your A records (website) and MX records (email) and I see that your domain's MX records are pointed to your third party email provider.

If you put yourdomain.com in as your email server in your email client, the client is trying to connect to our server (where your domain is hosted). If you want to use mail.yourdomain.com as the mail server in your email client, that is a special CNAME that we will need to change for you. If you need this changed, please send a email request to support@webhostinghub.com advising us where the mail CNAME should be pointed to. Please include account verification with either your AMP password or the last 4 digits of the credit card on file. Once that change is made, please allow 4-24 hours for DNS to propagate.

If you have any additional questions, please feel free to contact us.

Regards,

Christi N.
