I am receiving many many Mailer-Daemon failure notices for message I did not send to lists of people I never heard of. I'm afraid my email address is going to end up blacklisted. What is going on and is there something I should be doing?
I have changed my password and my email seems to be functioning otherwise completely normally, but I have a lot of these non-delivery notices arriving.

Hello,

Thank you for your question. It is good that you changed your email password, that would be my first recommendation. Make sure to use a good Strong Password.

Next, make sure any Software you are using (such as Wordpress/Drupal/Joomla, etc.) is fully upgraded. Also, ensure any plugins, add-ons, modules, themes, etc. are up-to-date.

Setting up SPF Records and Domain Keys can help confirm the emails are being sent from the correct server.

For more information, see our guide on What to do if an email is returned.

If you have any further questions, feel free to post them below.
Thank you,

-John-Paul
