Hi there,

Whenever I use Cyberduck to login to my site i just get an empty folder - I can't see any of the files I've uploaded via the File Manager?

Any help will greatly appreciated.

Cheers, A

Hello Alfus,

I'm sorry you're having trouble uploading files via FTP. While looking into this for you I found quite a few FTP accounts in addition to the main FTP account automatically created by your cPanel user name and password. If you are using one of the other FTP accounts besides the cPanel user, you will be restricted to the folder that particular FTP account is assigned to.

For example, the first FTP account in the list points to a folder that was created when that FTP account set up. The second FTP account (and most likely the rest of the list too) is an FTP account created when it's corresponding Addon domain was created. When you create an Addon domain, an FTP account that points to the Addon domain's document root folder is created as well. If you are uploading files to an Addon domain, simply use it's corresponding FTP account since it will automatically point to that Addon domain's document root.

If you want to upload files to your main domain's document root, you can use your cPanel user name and password for your FTP user and password and just make sure you upload files to the public_html folder (your main domain's document root).

Please let us know if you have any additional questions or need further assistance.

Regards,

Christi N.
