Using FileZilla to FTP to Network Solutions 'NetSol' server. Can connect OK but as soon as a file is sent to the server FileZilla disconnects, or the server disconnects to be more accurate. Does anybody have any idea on this? Network Solutions have no clue as to the cause.

Hello!

Thanks for posting your question regarding FTP disconnecting after a file transfer to your Network Solutions NetSol server. I'm sorry to see that you are experiencing issues in that regard.

I recommend reviewing the FTP logs. If you are able to review the logs for your FTP user, you may be able to quickly discern any FTP issues that the server may be reporting. Depending on your level of access with their servers, you may need to contact Network Solutions to obtain server logs. Feel free to leave a comment if they can provide any error logs.

Otherwise, I recommend reviewing the settings in your FileZilla program. Although Network Solutions may have their own configurations that work best, contact them to determine if any settings I generally recommend, conflict with their settings:

Transfer Mode - Typically more compatible in Passive Mode.
Simultaneous Connections - Generally the less the better. Set this to 2, or otherwise whatever the maximum Network Solutions allows on their servers.

We do have a guide to assist with FTP, however our resources are related to the products and services Web Hosting Hub offers. Network Solutions may have alternative configurations/servers that may not be exactly the same.

I hope this helps!
Sincerely,
Carlos D
