Hey,

I'm using FileZilla to upload my .htm file to the server. I plugged in my domain as the host, my username as my username, typed in my password, and left the port empty and it connected and I saw my files I had left there in the public_html directory. I also deleted the rest of the files in the folder since when I was accessing my domain name online it went to the default page and it said to delete that page. All I need is to see the change from uploading to the remote site. Thanks.

Hello corypru5,

Thank you for your question. When you deleted the the files in the public_html folder, it looks like you also deleted your website, since there are no files remaining.

Our guide on Removing the default landing page may be helpful with this in the future.

I recommend re-uploading your website to the public_html folder, as long as your main page is titled index.htm, index.html, or index.php, it will load by default.

Here is a link to our Getting started guide for FTP.

If you have any further questions, feel free to post them below.
Thank you,

-John-Paul
