I have an FTP account set up for someone who is designing the website I run but whenever they upload img files, the permissions are messed up and require me to manual correct them. How can be go about setting it up so that the permissions are correct when he uploads them with his FTP account?

He uses a MAC computer and CyberDuck (sp?) as his FTP program. He only has access to the folder on my main server that the domain he is working on is directed to.

Hello longlosers,

Thank you for your question. I looked into this further and noticed cyberduck had an issue regarding this that was corrected in a later release. So, I first recommend making sure you are using the latest version of cyberduck.

I would also recommend checking the permissions of the parent folder you are uploading to, as it may be inheriting permissions from parent folder.

In case you need it, here is a link to our article on how to change permissions from cPanel.
