I'm not sure if my problem is inexperience or if Internet Explorer 9 is causing me grief. My most basic problem is dealing with images. I tried making an Images folder beneath my web root but cannot seem to insert them, nor can I manually enter HTML code and get them to show. Should I abandon IE9 or get my head examined?

Hello RandyVG,

I'm sorry you're having trouble creating your website. While looking into this for you, I used Internet Explorer 9 and I was able to see your Images folder in File Manager. I also see quite a few images uploaded to that folder.

I see references to an uploads folder in several of your site files, but that folder does not exist in your account. Please try changing those image paths to /Images/filename instead (e.g. /Images/2901231.jpg). I also noticed that there is currently no index file in your public_html folder. You will want to either make the home page of your site an index page (e.g. index.html) or set your DirectoryIndex to the name of the file you want to use for your website's home page. Our article What Directory should I Upload my Files to? covers DirectoryIndex and directory structure in more detail.

If you have a specific file you would like for us to look at, please feel free to either update your question or add a comment below with the file name.

Thanks,

Christi N.
