When attempting to open (for publishing) my site (through either its IP or a temporary name), I get this error from FrontPage 2003: "Unable to open 'http://173.205.xxx.xxx'. Server error: Server error: Server configuration file /usr/local/apache/conf/httpd.conf has no Port or ServerRoot directive."

It goes on from there, suggesting that the Frontpage extensions are not installed (which they are, I've double-checked).

Hello mcgeady,

The typical 'fix' is to uninstall and then reinstall the extensions. If that does not work, you may want to contact our support department (open 24/7) to see if they can assist further.

As a sidenote, FrontPage is very antiquated and even Microsoft pulled their support of the product years ago. As time goes on FrontPage becomes more problematic with web servers as they move on in technology and protocol advancement. You may want to consider other options at your convenience as FrontPage compatibility is waning across the industry. Microsoft did develop a replacement for Frontpage known as Expressions web, if you like them and want to stick with something familiar.

I hope this answers your question. If you have any more questions or information specific to the issue please leave a comment below so we can further assist you.

Best Regards,
Scott M
