3 lbs added to entered shipping weight
My OSC table rate module adds 3 lbs. to the value so I get a greater charge than programmed. A 1 lb. package gets charged at the 4 lbs rate.

How do I correct this?

Hello! Thanks for posting your question regarding your OSCommerce website miscalculating the weight of products. Your table rates appear correctly configured. I recommend reviewing the configured "Package Tare weight". This setting is designed to include the weight of packaging materials in shipping (ie: box, packing peanuts, bubble wrap, etc). By default, the setting is configured with a value of "3". You can check this by navigating through the admin area to Configuration > Shipping/Packaging > Package Tare weight.
