It appears that mcrypt is configured not to allow 64-length keys, which prevents AES-256 security from being used. Why would that be disabled? Is there any way to enable it? AES-256 is pretty essential for high-security applications.

Hello daltonlaffs,

I am not as familiar with the configuration of the mcrypt as some php programmers here, but I did find an information link here for you that may help.

If you can provide a link to the code or file in question, I can also have one of the php programmers that is more familiar with this take a look as well.

I hope this answers your question. If you have any more questions or information specific to the issue please leave a comment below so we can further assist you.

Best Regards,
Scott M
