Would it be possible to update the PECL timezonedb used by PHP? America/Cancun switched to a new timezone and PHP is returning wrong information in reference to this timezone.

Hello Jellybean,

Thanks for the question about changing the PECL timezone. You will not be able to change the SERVER setting, but you can change the PHP.INI setting that is part of your website. Please see How to set the timezone for php in your php.ini file. This will give you the information that you need to set your proper timezone.

I hope this helps to answer your question, please let us know if you require any further assistance.

Regards,
Arnel C.

Thanks for your answer. I am however not interested in changing my own timezone. I would like webhosting hub to update the timezone database of PHP because there is wrong timezone information in the current one.

Hello Jellybean,

I checked the server and the timezone on the server is set to PST, which is the timezone of the server's location. That will always be the timezone on the server. Any account that wishes to display differently will need to modify that within their own account with the php.ii or within the program they are using.

Kindest Regards,

I have attempted to modify the php.ini and the .htaccess file on the server. Neither of the two had any affect at all on the timezone. I'm not sure what the issue is but I can't change the timezone no matter what I try.
