Dear Sir / Madam,

I have applied to be a Google Adsense partner and now need to paste Google ad codes directly in my website's HTML(named 'Original Source'), whose read-only version could be accessed by first clicking 'View', and then 'Source' on an Internet Explorer 9 browser.

How could I access the editable version of the said HTML so I could paste the ad codes I want?

P.S. My website is built with Word Press.

I appreciate your kind assistance.

Regards,
Barnet Siu

Hello Barnet,

It just depends on where you want to put the code. You have many options in Wordpress to edit the existing code. Let's just say you're going to paste the code in the sidebar.php file (choose header or footer if you're not using a sidebar).

1) Login to the Wordpress Admin (as an admin)
2) Click on APPEARANCE, select EDITOR
3) Look at the list of Templates on the right hand side - make sure you're editing the THEME files that you're using. Select SIDEBAR.PHP
4) When you select the file, it will automatically open up in the text editor, go to the bottom (or top) and paste in the code given to you.
5) Select UPDATE FILE and you're done!

If you have any further questions, please contact technical support or leave a comment at the bottom of the page.

Regards,

Arnel C.
