Thank you for your question pat1958!

If your emails disappear from the server it is most likely because you have a POP account set up in Outlook, Mac Mail, Thunderbird, or some other program checking the email. POP accounts will remove the emails from the server when they check email. Unfortunately, I cannot find your account to look at the email logs to verify this.

You will need to forward all the emails to another account. Then, remove the POP3 setup in Gmail. Add the email account back into Gmail. At this point you need to make sure you select "Leave a copy of retrieved message on the server." Finally, forward the old messages to the email account you have setup in Gmail.

Be sure to follow these steps in order to prevent losing all your emails!
