I installed an Add-on Domain (****.com) to my site (****.org), then created a subdomain (store.****.com), and then installed PrestaShop to this subdomain. I currently used the https protocol planning on using a Shared SSL for now.

I do not want to redirect the domain (****.com) yet. And when I do, it must go to the Add-On domain (****.com) as a splash that then on to the new subdomain.

So... questions:

1) Did I screw up the setup?

2) How do I access the new PrestaShop site? I can see it if I use file manager to the new subdomain. But, how do I edit it without redirecting the nameservers? The Admin Panel link from the "New Installation Email" does not work ["Website not available"].

3) Will this setup prevent me from adding a Private SSL?

Thanks for any help!

Hello Vinotrope,

Thank you for your question. Your nameservers are not pointed to us at this time, so if you want to use a subdomain with us, you would have to create it where your nameservers are hosted, then point the A record to your shared IP address.

If you just want to test the site on the temp URL in the meantime, just update the base URL for Prestashop to the secure SSL Temp URL.

Since this is a subdomain, the address will be your temp URL/name of the folder you created for the subdomain.

For example:
https://secure34.webhostinghub.com/~userna99/store

When the site is ready to go live, purchase the private SSL, then update the Prestashop base URL to the live domain name. For example:
store.****.com
