I currently stream audio/video to my website using ustream.tv and embedding the link into iweb. I would like to be able to do this straight to my website without having to go through a 3rd party site like ustream.tv. Is it possible to do this and can I do this in iweb. I am not an html coder so the reason for using iweb.

Hi cbazhaw,

Thank you for your question on embedding video files in your website. While streaming is the preferred method (you are using the resources on of another server instead of your server which helps decrease the risk of any slow down) I'll be happy to help you with that.

If you want to upload and play a video directly from your server, make sure you optimize the video as much as possible to reduce the file size to lessen the impact on the server. For full instructions, please see our How to Embed a Video on your Website article.

I would recommend embedding videos through YouTube instead by following our instructions in this How to Embed a Youtube Video on your Website

Please let us know if you have any additional questions or need any further assistance.

Regards,

Christi N.
