I'm building a website using the pleisk site builder. The site is to be used to sell one item: an e-book. The site is about 80% finsihed. I've put a paypal 'buy now button' on each page of the site. Of which there are 3 pages so far. There is an e-shop as part of the site buider. Can I sell one item using this site builder ? And if I can, how do I do this and set it up with the already existing 'buy now button ?

Hi profitcap,

Thank you for your question about using the site builder for selling your e-book. While the eshop module in the builder will allow you to sell products, it's not really designed for downloadable products such as e-books.

The best way to sell downloadable/digital content is to use stand alone e-commerce program such as Zen Cart, Cube Cart or OsCommerce (all of which are easily installed through Fantastico De Luxe in your cPanel).

If you would prefer to use the buy now button from Pay Pal, you would need to individually email the e-book to your customers. That's why we recommend using a stand alone cart program instead.

Please let us know if you have any additional questions or need further assistance.

Regards,

Christi N.
