Hello. I would like to design my own web site, and I have a couple of questions:

1)I have Microsoft ExpressionWeb 4. Is that software ok to use with your servers?

2) I would like to add a shopping cart to my page. Can I still use your Premium Website builder for just the shopping cart, or will it not be compatible?

3) If it's not compatible, is there any easy shopping cart software you suggest I can use with Expressionweb?

Thank you very much!

Hello CharmingPaws,

1- Microsoft Expression Web 4 is fine. Our servers are Linux-based, but can run HTML-coded sites with no problem. When you publish your website, you should use the FTP option to do so.

2- The Premium Website Builder builds websites that only the application itself can edit, so it is not possible to isolate the Eshop option without building 2 separate websites.

3- When you are looking at e-commerce/shopping cart software there will be a learning curve - so "simple" shopping cart software is fairly relative. I can recommend a few that we include under Fantastico and one ecommerce software that is open source and fairly easy to use:

Zen Cart
OS Commerce
OpenCart

All of these options are open-source and free. I would recommend using OpenCart since it's a much fuller featured ecommerce software and still easy to use.

I hope this answers your questions. Please let us know if you require any further assistance.

If you have any further questions, please contact technical support or leave a comment at the bottom of the page.
