how do I disable/enable php safe mode?

I'm trying to install presskit(). During the installation I'm told php safe mode is on and it needs to be off. "Configure PHP" in the control panel only let's me pick a version, but not enable/disable safe mode. Where do I find this settings option?

Hello,

Thank you for your question about PHP safe mode. I'm not aware of a specific way to disable it, but the PHP documentation indicated that the safe mode feature was disabled as of version 5.4. Perhaps switching to the newest may help your installation.
