Hello dkbainbridge,

Thank you for your question. Here are the steps for removing or disabling the categories from the footer in Prestashop:

Login to the Admin panel for Prestashop->Go to the Modules tab -> click the Modules option -> click on Front office features from the left menu -> Find the Categories block -> Then disable or uninstall the Categories block.

Disable turns it off, while uninstalling completely removes it.

Hello Prestashop_fan,

In order to remove JUST the CATEGORIES from the footer section you will need to do the following:

1) Login to the Prestashop Admin Dashboard
2) Click on the MODULES menu and then select POSITIONS
3) Scroll down until you find the FOOTER section - it will state how many modules are listed and the technical name says "displayFooter".
4) Look for CATEGORIES BLOCK and then click on the trashcan icon to the right in order to remove it.

Refresh your Store website and you should now see that the Categories section is completely gone from the footer.

Hope that helps! Let us know if you require any further assistance.

Regards,
Arnel C.
