I am trying to upload some files to create a new website that I am hosting with WebhostingHub. It requires me to add an Advanced DNS Zone file, but my cPanel only allows me to add a standard DNS Zone file.

DO I have the latest version of WebHostingHub and if so, How do I add and Advanced DNS Zone File? Thanks

Hello Stufish7,

Thank you for your questions.

How do I add and Advanced DNS Zone File?
We do not allow the Advanced DNS Zone File editor on the servers as a security measure. Most zone files can be created or adjusted using the Basic DBS Editor or even the MX Entry tool (for MX records.)

There are some records that are not able to be changed. These are reserved records or existing records that were created by the server. In those cases you will want to contact our support department at support@webhostinghub.com with the record you need changed along with the new information you need. Be sure to also include your primary domain name and standard verification information (current AMP password or last 4 digits of the credit card on file.)

Do I have the latest version of WebHostingHub?
There are many programs that make up your WebhostingHub account. You are on the most up to date cPanel as this is kept updated. Other programs such as Php cannot be updated as regularly or they may break peoples sites. You are on a php 5.2.17 server, we do have 5.3 servers available upon request.

I hope this answers your questions. If you have any more questions please leave a comment below.

Thank you!
