I am trying to find out how I set up IP Canonicalization on my website. I have placed the following code on my .htaccess file: RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^XXX\.XXX\.XXX\.XXX
RewriteRule (.*) http://www.yourdomain.com/$1 [R=301,L]. NOTE: X's have been replaced with my IP digits and the domainname replaced with my actual domain name.

This doesn't seem to work.

How can this be achieved?

Thanks,

Douglas

Hello Douglas,

Thanks for the question about IP Canonicalization. This can be done through the .htaccess file as you're trying to do. There are several resources online that discuss this issue. Here's a post that may help you determine what needs to be done. If you are unable to determine how to code it, then you may need to consult with a knowledgeable web developer/programmer to help you write the code.

If you have any further questions, please let us know.

Kindest regards,
Arnel C.
