I am about to implement the Password Protect option to my site and was wondering if it's possible to use the Username that has been assigned as a Session Variable on my pages that use PHP...

The reason for the request is that I have a few forms within the site that submit info to our company and as it stands we have to ask the user for their email address on each form so that when it comes to us we know who sent it.

If we can use the Username that was entered in on the Password Protect as a Session Variable, then we wouldn't have to ask them each time they submit a form.

Any advise would be greatly appreciated.

Hello,

Thanks for the question about using the username and password as a session variable to bypass the Password Protect option from cPanel. I checked on this, and it cannot be used in that manner. I hope this helps to answer your question! If you have any further questions or comments, please let us know.

Regards,
Arnel C.
