In your answers to questions you describe how to make a image a link. I understand that but could you please explain where this process starts? Where do you find the photo and what happens after that. Thanks
Jim

Hello Jim,

Photos could come from any number of sources. It could be a photo that you have taken with your digital camera (or even a a traditional photo you have rights to that you have scanned). There are also many resources online for purchasing stock photos if you do not have your own photos you want to use. A good starting point if you're looking for stock photos is do a search with your preferred for "stock photos" or "stock images."

How you insert that image into your site will depend on how you are creating your site. For instance, if you are hand coding your site, it's best practice to place all of your images in a folder named images (or something similar) and then making sure you reference that folder in the source (src) URL of your image tag. Here's an example:

<img src="http://mydomain.com/images/myimage.jpg" />

If you are using a Content Management System (e.g. WordPress, Joomla, Drupal, or other software) to create you site and have a question about linking with images specific to that software, please let us know.

Regards,

Christi N.
